In 1972 (it was February the 29th), when I bought my first camera, I was already interested in the study of Nature, specializing in Entomology. Interest for Nature under all of its aspects was the first impulse to travel and to explore the World faraway from home as well as in the still unknown neighbourhood. Discovering mountains and caves, flowers and the immense world of the very small Insects was an amazing adventure, and still it is so. Travels also gave me a stronger interest in man's work, when it is in harmony with Nature and when it represents the soul and positive culture of a place, of a people, of any man. I photograph this world as I see it and in the way I have the opportunity to know it.
Quando nel 1972 (era il 29 febbraio!) acquistai la mia prima fotocamera già mi interessavo allo studio della Natura, specializzandomi in Entomologia. L'interesse per la Natura sotto ogni aspetto fu il primo impulso a viaggiare ed esplorare il mondo lontano da casa così come nelle vicinanze ancora sconosciute. Scoprire montagne e grotte, fiori e l'immenso mondo di piccolissimi Insetti fu un'avventura affascinante e così è ancora. I viaggi maturarono anche un maggiore interesse per le opere dell'uomo, quando queste sono in armonia con il paesaggio e quando rappresentano lo spirito e la cultura positiva di un luogo, di un popolo, di ogni uomo. Fotografo questo mondo come lo vedo e come ho occasione di conoscerlo.
